Global Warming Poster Series
Climate change is increasingly disrupting education systems around the world. Extreme weather events, rising temperatures, and environmental instability can lead to school closures, damaged infrastructure, and limited access to consistent learning environments.
For students, these disruptions directly impact academic progress and long-term opportunity. Despite this, the relationship between climate change and education is often overlooked in broader public discourse, even though it affects the stability and accessibility of schooling globally.
PROJECT: Global warming poster series
SOFTWARE: InDesign, Gemini, Photoshop
STYLE: Educational
My goal was to design a three-poster series addressing climate change and its impact on education. As a student, consistent access to learning environments is essential, and my future is directly shaped by my education. However, the effects of climate change on schools and educational systems worldwide are often overlooked.
Using AI (Gemini) as a generative tool, I developed bold, concept-driven compositions through prompt-based exploration. The posters are designed to initially appear familiar, but reward closer inspection through layered visual meaning.
Strong sans-serif typography is used to establish immediate visual impact and hierarchy, while contrasting handwritten, childlike elements function as secondary text to create a more personal and emotional connection with the viewer.
These posters would be most impactful in schools and universities, especially those near public transit where student traffic is high. They would also work well in nearby community spaces like libraries and youth centers, as well as public venues such as transit hubs, where they can reach a broader, everyday audience engaged in movement through the city.
